DIY Laptop Case
For a long time now I’ve wanted to make a soft case for my laptop. I just wanted something to help protect it from scratches and what not when I’m toting it around. Nothing too fancy, just something simple and functional. This past week I finally decided to take a break from my painting project and make a case. I had several scrap fabrics from past projects that I thought would look cute and work well for what I wanted too. I love being able to use up scraps! Waste not, want not.
For my first ever laptop case, I think it turned out rather cute! It’s not totally perfect, but that’s okay. I sewed everything by hand instead of using a machine to do the work, so the stitches have an uneven look. I was worried that the pieces would be too thick and break the needle. In a way though, it works. The hand stitching, pretty colors and shiny blanket-stitched border gives it a happy, bohemian vibe that I like.
